Natural Gas

Product Description

As the name implies, Natural gas is a fossil fuel that occurs naturally. It is used as a source of energy for heating, cooking, and electricity generation. It is also used as fuel for vehicles and as a chemical feedstock in the manufacture of plastics and other commercially important organic chemicals. Natural gas is one of the cleanest, safest, and most useful forms of energy in our day-to-day lives. Natural gas is a hydrocarbon, which means it is made up of molecules of Carbon and Hydrogen atoms, with some undesirable impurities / contaminants. These contaminants are removed through gas processing in the gas plants to clean up the natural gas and make it readily usable, before being piped to homes and power plants.

Natural gas is a highly flammable gas and easily combustible to produce lots of heat energy. It consists largely of methane and other hydrocarbons, occurring naturally underground. When it forms in association with petroleum, it is called Associated Natural Gas (AG) and when it forms solely, without any crude oil, it is called Non-Associated Natural Gas (NAG).

Specific procedure for Natural Gas Supply will be provided upon request

The composition of Natural Gas varies, depending on the location. Note that there is no guarantee of the following composition at your location or as an overall system average. Since the different gas supplies enter the central gas distribution system at different locations, the exact composition at any site will vary among the different regions. The system average heating value will depend on the mix of gas supplies (which is increasingly controlled by our customers), and therefore can vary from the typical value listed below
